TaskWhisper ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This application is designed as a high-performance productivity assistant that prioritizes user control and data security.
1. Data Collection and Usage
We believe your data belongs to you. To provide our services, we handle information as follows:
- Microphone Usage: We use your device's microphone solely to record your voice notes when you manually trigger the record button.
- On-Device Processing: Speech recognition and basic transcription are performed locally on your device. Raw audio files are deleted immediately after the transcription process is complete to preserve your privacy.
- AI-Powered Analysis (Gemini): When you choose to "Analyze" a meeting, the transcribed text is securely processed via the Google Gemini API to generate strategic summaries and action items. Audio files are never sent to AI servers; only the generated text is processed for analysis.
- Data Storage: All transcriptions and AI-generated analysis results are stored locally on your device. We do not store your personal meeting data on our own servers.
2. Third-Party Services
To provide advanced AI capabilities and monetization, we use the following industry-standard services:
- Google Gemini API: Used for generating meeting summaries and strategic analysis. According to Google's API provider terms, data sent via the API is not used to train their global AI models. Data is transmitted securely via encrypted channels.
- Google AdMob: We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as Advertising ID) to serve relevant ads. Refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details.
3. User Rights & Control
You maintain full authority over your data:
- You can delete any saved meeting or analysis result at any time within the app.
- You can revoke microphone or speech recognition permissions through your device settings.
- Since data is stored locally, uninstalling TaskWhisper will permanently remove all associated data from your device.
